Anusara 101 @ East

Join Rick and Rachael Laing for this indepth introduction to Anusara Yoga. Rick has over 20 years experience in Physical Therapy and brings a deep understanding of anatomy and biomechanics to his teachings. Rachael is a certified yoga instructor who’s teachings are heart oriented and fun. The Universal Principles of Alignment, basic asana (postures), anatomy, philosophy and breath work will be covered during the four week series. Be prepared to work, play and learn. Those with minor injuries and limitations are welcome.

Immersion Phase 1, 2, & 3

The Anusara Immersion with Christina Sell and Darren Rhodes will stoke the fire of your adhikara (studentship). It will support and nurture deep transformations both on and off the mat. The immersion provides a deeply foundational & practical understanding of Anusara Yoga asana, alignment, and philosophy.

Noah Mazé Weekend Workshop: Kleshas and Lakshmis

The Sage Patanjali names five kleshas (stains) that are impediments on the paths of yoga. The Tantric yoga traditions replace these kleshas with Lakshmis (marks of auspiciousness), in order to affirm life and create beauty. We will draw these teachings into our practices in a sweet and rich weekend of Anusara Yoga. Appropriate for all levels.

Pre-Requisites: Completion of the Phase 1 Anusara Immersion plus one year of regular study in Anusara Yoga, or special permission from Instructors. Highly recommended: Completion of the 108 Hour Anusara Immersion.

The Dances of Universal Peace are simple, meditative and uplifting group dances. They represent and integrate many of the world’s spiritual traditions, and help to create peace and unity within and without. Some of the traditions represented are Hindu, Buddhist, Zoroastrian, Sufi, American Indian, Jewish, Christian, Islamic, Goddess, Celtic, and Universalist.
